 Just upgraded from Gaim to Pidgin 2.4.0 and have observed this issue.

 Launching Pidgin successfully attaches the account to an internal
 corporate jabber server.  Buddies are updated and everything looks fine.
 After some time, (a server glitch?) the account is disconnected - and
 won't reconnect.

 The GUI shows:  <account>/Home disabled Not Authorized
 [[BR]]
 With options to:  Modify Account or Re-enable

 Attempting to re-enable gives the same result.

 This can be easily reproduced by manually disabling the account (Accounts
 menu) and then manually re-enabling it.  Reproducable 100%.

 Workaround is to completely quit the application and re-launch.

 Debugging logs attached (note that I edited to remove user/company/IP
 information)
