 This is kind of amazing. If there was another free IM client that was
 decent I'd switch in a minute. I can't believe there are still people
 arguing that this is just people afraid of change. This feature sucks,
 hands down. While I'm sure whomever wrote it is happy with their code,
 very few other people seem to be. Roll it back, don't hack it up even
 further.

 this is like when politicians make a law and it has unintended
 consequences but they are TOO PROUD to undo it so they tweak it. That's
 why our economy is being crushed under its own weight. Don't do the same
 thing to pidgin.
