 No, apologizing that someone feels claustrophobic is not a failure on my
 part. Neither is refusing to revert a feature I feel is beneficial because
 a small handful of people feel claustrophobic. I think you need to re-
 examine what exactly the relationship is here and what exactly you think
 developing and maintaining a piece of software entails.

 debiandev: It *IS* optional, a plugin has existed since virtually the
 beginning because a *user* who wanted the feature back wrote it (which is
 exactly what we suggested should happen from the very start). The plugin
 lives in ticket #5296, enjoy. (Oh, and no, spending time discussing and
 attempting to fix a feature so it works better is *far* from the least we
 can do, but thanks for trivializing all the time and effort we have been
 spending on this. That sure makes me feel good about trying to help.)
