 I maximize Pidgin when I am away from my desk, to remind me to re-set my
 status when I return.

 When I select the status bar to re-set my status, it comes up the full
 width of the window, which wouldn't be so bad if it didn't look exactly
 like the main window.  At times I feel like nothing happened.

 So, if it could come up as a the same size as, say the context-sensitive
 (popup) menu, that might be better.
