Comment:

 The version of Pidgin I have on my Vista partition (version 2.1.1) does
 not have a 'Room List' button.  After looking at the AIM site I can see
 that all the chat rooms are listed there just as you had suggested
 earlier.  I still can't join any of those chats through Pidgin but I am
 not even sure if should be able to do that in the first place.  The way
 the AIM site makes it sound, all the chat rooms are done through their
 site now with the exception of user created chats.  Honestly, I haven't
 ever used a chat room before.  I just got bored last night and stumbled
 accross the 'Join a Chat' menu option and decided to give it a try.  When
 I discovered the problem I decided I would report it just as a courtesy
 but, I am not really that concerned about a solution.
