 Even with the colored nicknames, it gets difficult in a busy IRC room with
 nicknames of different lengths to determine who said what. The matter is
 further complicated by the custom of addressing people with "nickname: "
 prefixes, and it just gets confusing. It would be much more clear and
 easier to use if the nicknames were aligned in their own column so that
 one could easily scan down the list of nicknames.
