 I'm also getting the same issue, no firewalls was working fine yesterday
 and nothings changed (promise!).  Have tried different Gmail accounts on
 Pidgin, same error and have also logged in successfully using both
 accounts on googletalk's web based 'gadget' any thoughts? all help
 appreciated!
