 Thanks for that build!!!

I wrote a python script to export any smiley theme file to a smileys.xml
 file: [http://durand.zephyrhosting.net/dump/python/smileys.tar.bz2]
I wrote the script just to learn python so its a bit messy.
I've included an example smileys.xml file with most of the default pidgin
 smileys config.
You need to edit infile and outfile in pidgin_smileys.py to your smileys
theme file (eg. /usr/share/pixmaps/pidgin/emotes/default/theme) and your
 output to the output file.

Since the script is still premature, you HAVE to change the theme file to
only include the smiley lines. EG, no headers or title lines (like [MSN])

Then run pidgin_smileys.py. You can then use recurrences.py to check if a
smiley has been repeated and you can then manually edit the smileys.xml
 file.
Finally, exit pidgin, copy the smileys.xml file over to ~/.purple and
symlink (or copy) the directory with the smileys in it to
 ~/.purple/custom_smileys.
