 Thank goodness! That's awesome. I was here looking for info on that exact
 thing. In my client (2.4.1 on Xubuntu Hardy), I have a worse problem...
 I send a message, and I see it in my wireshark log in its entirety, but
 the person on the other end gets a BLANK message.
 Well, yahoo messenger users get a blank message. Pidgin users get no
 message - presumably pidgin is filtering out the blank messages.

 It's stung me about a hundred times lately because I'm often posting code
 into the IM window.
 briangeppert's patch will fix my problem though I think, so life is good!
