 Hello

Using Pidgin, I can't logon to MSN when my OpenBSD firewall is in secure
 mode.

 Let me explain

My LAN is behind a OpenBSD router. In OpenBSD, the firewall is managed
through the configuration file /etc/pf.conf. In there, I have a line to
scramble packets to foil some kinds of potential incoming attacks. The
 line goes as follow:

 scrub on $ext_if all no-df random-id min-ttl 30 reassemble tcp fragment
 reassemble

When firewall is scrambling, I can logon to Yahoo, MSN and ICQ from Adium
on my Mac. But from Pidgin (and I can remember the problem from the Gaim
days as well), I can only logon to Yahoo and ICQ, not MSN.

If I turn off the scambling, ie when I'm using a pf.conf without any
scramble line, then and only then I can logon to MSN from Pidgin.

I'm not sure how to trace this, any help would be appreciated. I'm running
 Linux 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux
