Comment:

 a) Yes, it is enabled. All options (3 options) are enabled too.[[BR]]
 b) It should show on screen (in a corner) a balloontip when a contact
 changes its status.[[BR]]

 Instead Pidgin plays only the sound relative to a particular event (for
 ex. logout) but no visual notification is shown.

 I used Pidgin on Fedora 8 and statenotify was working fine.

 p.s.: the debug console doesn't show any errors related to the
 plugin;[[BR]]
 p.s.s.: I don't know if this can be useful but the debug console prints
