 Assume default formatting is set in prefs to something specific.
 [[BR]]

 User types a smiley (by hand, it's code). The user then does a copy/paste
 with that smiley in the typing area (to multiply it quickly).
 The pasted smileys are already displayed as graphical smileys (which is no
 problem).

 Remember, this was a copy/paste from the typing area, back into the same
 typing area, text written with customized default formatting.

 However, after pasting, subsequent typing will use the Pidgin installation
 (or theme) default formatting, NOT the customized default formatting, and
 NOT the copied text's formatting.
