 Line 115 of purple-debug2.log is the jabber:iq:roster request returned
 from the server. It contains all of the people on your roster (the request
 for this from pidgin was on line 100). I'm not sure what 'rosterless' mode
 means in your server but the only things I can imagine it could mean are
 that pidgin didn't request the roster (which is not correct) or some
 internal Jive mechanism pidgin doesn't understand.

 About the duplication I stand corrected, it is not most buddies, just a
 small handful that are in your list incorrectly. I don't want to post the
 JIDs here any more than they already have been so if you want to work on
 this is slightly more real-time (and find out which entries are busted)
