 I just tested both version 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 on Ubuntu 8.04. I saw exactly
 the same problem. Existing AIM account can't login, complains "incorrect
 password". If a new aim account is created from pidgin, then it works.

 Is there a temporary fix (work around) before a formal release fix?
