Comment:

 This is fixed en passant by 9ac89b58d826a67b07338eebd23f62cb561c05ab by
 reversing the order of calls to `purple_markup_strip_html` and
 `charset_convert`.  I meant to make it a separate commit fixing this bug,
 but apparently I can't drive Monotone.

 The problem should be gone in the next release of Pidgin.
