Comment:

 Are these XMPP accounts and XMPP groups that are provided by your server
 automatically? If they are then you likely can't move them of combine
 them, as the server will send them back in the original locations the next
 time you get your roster. I have yet to see an implementation of this sort
 of shared roster group that doesn't have one of a number of limitations,
 this being the most popular one.
