 I tried to transfer 100kB of text between two computers on my desk using
 pidgin and bonjour. However, pasting this text into pidgin froze pidgin
 for more than two days, more exactly it used 100% cpu on one of my two
 core for 50h48m. I didn't watch it constantly but it also used at least
 60MB of memory (when idling, my pidgin uses 10-15MB). These numbers are
 unreasonable.

 I haven't sent the message yet, since it might lock up the receiver
 (and/or sender) for another two days I will wait until friday afternoon.
 Will post the result on monday...
