 This use case happens to me often enough:
 - I receive a custom smiley in MSN. The custom smiley is displayed in the
 conversation window as an image with a "X" cross.
 - *Before* the custom smiley downloads I press CTRL-L (because I do not
 want to view the custom smiley)
 - When the custom smiley finishes downloading (in background), pidgin
 crashes.

 Happens in Pidgin 2.4.2 Win32.

 I'm at work right now, so I cannot spend time in creating a dump report.
