 Sending the message was ok with regards to cpu/network/memory usage.
 However, displaying a very long line (1 900 000 characters) seemed to fail
 (it wasn't displayed at all, but if I selected all on the receiving pidgin
 and then copy-pasted into a text editor it was there).

 And that remark makes it necessary to clarify the original report: the
 text I sent was slightly less tthan 2MB, not around 100kB. Hadn't noticed
 that until now.
