 Pidgin 2.5.2 generates a high (~58) number of wakeups per second. Care
 should be taken to decrease this number in order to let the cpu enter a
 lower power state as long as possible thereby decreasing power usage and
 increasing battery life on mobile systems.

 In order to verify this bug, launch pidgin and powertop.
