 You setting your real name in the vCard doesn't force the remote client to
 use that name, especially if they never actually get that information
 (there's no requirement for them to do so). That being said, I believe
 pidgin tries to use that information as the server supplied alias for
 local usage, so if your report is that with that information filled out
 and retrieved by pidgin we aren't using that information that is something
 we probably can look into. If, however, the report is that setting the
 vCard doesn't affect what the official Google Talk or webmail clients
 display there isn't likely much we can do about that.
