 Ugh... this drives me CRAZY.

 The script I posted above no longer works for me. I've spent a good part
 of today (okay, the WHOLE day (I'm a total loser)) trying to work out a
 solution. Nada.

 I've found that the buddy list will OCCASIONALLY hide itself correctly,
 but almost every other time it pops up on the desktop.

 Please take another look at this bug :-/
