Comment(by dawg):

 Further testing reveals that Pidgin does not(!) reveal its main window if
 the Window List is removed.

 Trying to accommodate for any potential failure not practical --
 particularly when accounting for these rare (but RECOVERABLE) cases causes
 a relatively common and highly visible bug.
