 The problem here is we use the embed the buddy alias and the message in
 the same buffer. We enable the custom emoticon stuff and then display both
 as a single instance.

 A probable fix would be to print first the alias with
 pidgin_themes_smiley_themeize() and then enable themeize_custom() to
 display the message.

 I'm not familiar with the writing conv stuff. The fix could be easy, but I
 need to take a closer look.
