 And surely, after submitting a ticket, pidgin decides to log me out of the
 browser-based YIM and log into YIM itself.

 Not sure whether to poke this ticket as resolved as it has been having
 connectivity problems since the last program update but adding this
 comment to show that somehow it does manage to connect. ..albeit just to
 spite me, I'm sure. >_>
