 The messages in the log have nothing to do with you attempting a file
 transfer at all? In that case the actual bug here is was simply that
 pidgin was unable to find the non-local address for itself and that your
 server appears to be returning the local address for itself when pidgin
 queries it as a proxy server (instead of the real address).

 I have no idea what is causing the OpenFire traces but if it isn't this
 then at least for the moment it isn't something we can do anything about.
