Comment:

 Forget mode, that ended up not being an issue. The fact that your server
 is returning the local IP instead of the real IP might be a bug, but is
 more likely a configuration issue. I'd check the guides, forums, etc. for
 help.

 I'm closing this as invalid as there isn't really a pidgin bug here as far
 as I can see.
