 I never said it wasn't. I just said the cost is minimal and significantly
 smaller than the cost the old method had for people who wanted the current
 behaviour. Especially when, as I indicated, a workaround for this usage is
 possibly in the generic case and no generic workaround was possible with
 the previous system.
