 Some of my users when starting pidgin via
 "C:\Program Files\Pidgin\pidgin.exe" --login=username at chatserver.com/Home

 Receive a dos window with error messages starting with "Could not open reg
 subkey: SOFTWARE\GTK\2.0"

 Pidgin works fine, but if you try to close this dos window, pidgin ends.

 We are XP SP3, roaming profiles, original version of pidgin was 2.5.1. I
 deinstalled GTK and pidgin and installed the latest version 2.5.2.
 removed the prefs.xml file and still have the same problem.

 I have a debug log attached.
