Comment:

 This happens consistently after pidgin has been running for more than 2
 days. There are dozens of machines which are left running pidgin
 continuously. Every day two or more of them are in a stuck on available
 state. The Status / Idle settings are: Report Idle Time: Based on keyboard
 or mouse use. Auto Reply: Never. Auto-away checked to Change status when
 idle, Minutes before becoming idle: 5, Change status to: Away. Status at
 Startup checked Use status from last exit at startup.

 By using the diagnostic program Leakyapp.exe the failure can be seen
 sooner. I will try to get a debug log, but have not noticed anything
 related to this failure mode in the log.
