 well, my +1  - I have to use gajim to enable services. In fact they are
 much more than a way to use another protocol. The latter is also a case
 btw - there are some uncommonly-used protocols, that won't ever make it
 into pidgin (like MRIM) and at the same time several persons that are
 using only that frigging MRIM.

 As a recap, I am seeing it as "patch welcome" case - so involved person
 should find some time to have it implemented...
