 v2.4.3 works fine but as soon as i upgrade to the newest version of
 pidgin, i can't log into msn with my username.  my username is my email
 address with a "." in the name, for instance, my.name at gmail.com

 the error says invalid credentials or something.  sorry i dont have the
 exact message but this should be easy enough to test :)

 uninstalling and installing 2.4.3 works fine.

 incidentally, i get the same behavior with Digsby, where it can't handle
 my username with a "." in the middle.
