 gdk-pixbuf doesn't support APNG (and it wouldn't be all that useful anyway
 if other clients can't read them either).

 This is closed because, as I indicated in [#comment:2] it isn't a Pidgin
 issue - the GTK+ library that deals with manipulating images doesn't
 support writing gifs.
