 Which Operating System are you talking about? This behavior should
 automatically happen on X11 UIs (Linux, etc.).

 I don't think it is a good idea to do on Windows, it'd cause the clipboard
 to be unexpectedly overwritten for people (but a plugin probably could do
 it, and that would be right way to do it).
