 So, it's done and I attached a 2nd version of the patch. It works also for
 me excellently.  Someone else also tested the first version successfully,
 see here: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=438472#p438472 I will
 tell him that he should also test the 2nd version patch.
 But one problem remains: When I switch to a VPN connection pidgin should
 also reconnect if the VPN connection is valid for all routes. But I think
 this is a minor problem and we should review it again when NM 0.7 is
 stable, as far as I know their are coming a lot of changes regarding VPN
 and DBUS communication. Anyway, both patches should be tested and included
 in pidgin, since it *is* a bug assuming that the owner_change_cb would
 fire in the beginning, IMO.
