 I'm having Pidgin crash randomly with an access violation on msvcrt.dll:

 C:\Program Files\Pidgin\pidgin.exe caused an Access Violation at location
 77c478c0 in module C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll Reading from location
 00000000.

 It happens with no interaction from me, and quite often it's minimized and
 running from the Windows tray when it happens.  None of the previous
 tickets seem to be related to my situation.  Here is the relevant
 background:

 Happens almost daily.[[BR]]
 Has happened on all recent versions (since at least 2.4.x).[[BR]]
 Happens on clean reinstall.[[BR]]
 Only one XMPP account (did not install any of the extra URI
 handlers).[[BR]]
 No third-party plugins installed.[[BR]]
 The only plugin enabled is 'History'.[[BR]]
 Seems to happen randomly with no interaction (ie. not trying to send a
 message, not hovering or clicking on contact list).[[BR]]
 Tried reinstalling new GTK+ Runtime from Sourceforge, no difference.
 Happened on both my old WinXP machine and my new one.[[BR]]
 Always behind a firewall (no NAT) so it's not random Internet
 traffic.[[BR]]
