 All of the icons including statues, smilies and protocols show up as red
 Xs after upgrading to Pidgin 2.5.2 Avatars are missing completely.
 Very similar to ticket #7041 I have attempted reinstalling GTK and Pidgin
 and it works fine the first time I run it but breaks again thereafter.
