 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.

 A quick look around indicates that SLim is not a Second Life product as-
 such but is rather a product provided by Vivox, and it also appears not to
 be open source. That being said it appears to be some sort of VoIP client,
 so who knows what it actually does.

 Regardless, we are not in the position of wanting to take on new protocols
 and suggest that people interested in specific protocols implement them
 themselves. The third-party protocol plugins we are aware of live
