 It sounds to me like his issue is that the autocompletion list does not
 indicate which account the buddies are coming from, which means (when the
 buddies are not in a contact) that it is impossible to tell which account
 will be chosen for each completion entry until they are chosen.

 I'm unsure about the 'buddy without an account' case, unless that means a
 buddy for which the account it was originally on has since been deleted.
 And I'm not at all sure how we should or do handle such a case at the
 moment.
