 Hello,

 Thanks for your prompt reply.

 The version of Pidgin is the same on the three machines (v2.2.2). Two of
 the machines are in service at our ref desk and one is a test machine in
 my office.
 The following details are identical on all three machines:

 -GTK+ is v2.12.1
 -glib is v2.14.2;
 -All of the plug-ins appearing in the list (25 in total) are listed as
 version 2.2.2 and are NOT checked except for the following two: "Pidgin
 For Lib" is v0.4; "Meebo Guest Auto Add/Remove" is v2.0.2.
 -Windows is XP Pro, Version 2002, SP3
 -All the machines are exactly the same model with same RAM, etc.
