 around for this bug.  Ticket 1745 explains a work around that was used by
 clearing the Logging Directory for talk.ini.  I like to keep logs in
 Trillian for work purposes so I was able to add a \ at the end of the
 Directory= line and that works now.

 Is this reproducible with Pidgin 2.5.1? If you remove the \ from the end
 of your Directory= line in talk.ini, does Pidgin crash (or fail to find
 the logs) again? If it crashes, can you get a backtrace? (I'll use the
 "get a backtrace" canned response, which should provide instructions in a
 follow-up comment.)
