 When configuring Pidgin to use a proxy with username/password
 authentication, this won't be considered when enabling the plugin "Release
 Notification".

 It takes the configured proxy, but in the proxy logs it says that no
 authentication is used and the request fails. That opens a seperate window
 when starting pidgin saying that the version check failed for some reason.
 Using pidgin with ICQ protocol works fine, so pidgin and the proxy are
 configured well.
