 khc:...hmm i think i agree with you...but mostly because your statement
 appears to boil down to a tautology: Unless your problem is the same, it
 probably isn't... If you review my post, you can see i was asking for
 instruction on how to verify this very thing. In the interest of good-
 natured collaboration, I will resume my original intent:

 Option 1: I have encountered an issue related to that of the original
 reporter. I re-ask: How does one generate a debug log? Link or description
 would be helpful. I am new to the pidgin effort, but am a developer and
 capable of contribution if I can be pointed in the right direction.

 Option 2: I have encountered a separate issue...but still a critical issue
 for my use of pidgin. And unless I'm the only person in existence to have
 this issue, its probably a critical issue as well. I can register a new
 report if that is desired.

 So how is it recommended that I proceed?
