 I'm totally new at instant messaging.  My wife uses MSN all the time so I
 her up as a buddy on my Pidgin account.

 I can see her and connect. I can see messages she types, but when I send
 her a message I get:

 (1:04:20 PM) Message could not be sent because the user is offline:

 But she is NOT offline.

 Do I need to change something in my firewall settings?  I'm using Trend
 Micro PCCillin 2007 Security Suite.

 Any other ideas?

 I'm stumped.
