 I have modified autoprofile plugin (which is now part of plugins_pack) to
 do exactly this and few other stuff.(stability and reduce CPU usage etc)

 Patches reside here:
 http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/ticket/522

 But it seems that patches have gone unnoticed. Hope to get atleast
 acknowledgement.
