 I know this has been answered in the FAQ, but it does not help me. I've
 also searched tickets and I haven't found anything.

 MSN will not connect. It says unable to authenticate: authentication
 failure. The FAQ says something like "you need to compile with SSL". I
 don't know what SSL is, and I didn't compile Pidgin. I don't have that
 knowledge.
