 For a couple of days (no updates whatsoever), everytime I'm starting
 Pidgin, it almost immediately crashes with a Windows "Pidgin has
 encountered a problem and needs to close" error.

 Shortly before crashing, it opens a window from an MSN contact who
 apparently has sent me a message while I was offline. When I reopen
 Pidgin, the same message tries to be delivered again, making Pidgin crash
 again.

 The same thing happens on another computer.

 I renamed libmsn.dll in the plugins subfolder to libmsn.dll.bak, and
 everything works fine since. (Obviously now without MSN.)

 This has possibly something to do with
