 This will randomly happen to me, I'll be using Pidgin, I'll open a chat
 with someone and the window will be "blank" (screenshots attached). Once
 it happens to one window, the others follow suit. The only solution is to
 close Pidgin and restart it.

 Messages keep arriving (taskbar flashes, and they are appended to the
 logs), but Pidgin is essentially unusable. I've run it in gdb while this
 has been happening, and there are no crashes or error messages.
