New description:
I often run my laptop in dual display mode, with a large monitor. If I am
running pidgin on my secondary display, close the lid, and startup later
without the second display, my pidgin window is stuck in some sort of
purgatorial position that doesn't exist.
Steps to reproduce
=====================
Set up a laptop with an added display, in dual display mode
open pidgin, and place it in the added display
close the lid to the laptop
disconnect the secondary display
open the lid to the laptop
log back into the system
in my case, the pidgin icon is visible in the system tray, but will not
restore in the primary display
System Details
=====================
Windows Vista sp1
Macbook pro
