 First let me say I hope this is the rite place to ask for help. I looked
 thru the FAQ and even tried to ask for help on IRC but I didn't have any
 luck.

 OK, So where is the problem. I just decided to switch to pidgin from
 Trillian! I really like pidgin and plan on staying with it. There was a
 feature on trillian that would allow me to set sound or pop-up messages
 for individual users. I could set the sound to go off when they came
 online or when they went idle.

 I use this setting for my mother who is visually impaired. I had trillian
 set so when I signed onto my username a prerecorded .wav of me would
 announce my name so she would know its me.

 I don't really need it to play a .wav when I sign on, but maybe a
 distinguishable sound that she should relate to my being online.

 So is this something that can be done on pidgin?

 If I have not explained my self properly or if you guys have another
 question Or if I should post this else where, please let me know.
